Dial-Up Networking Installation (If not installed during initial
Windows Setup).
- On Start -> Settings select Control
Panel.
- Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
- Select the Windows Setup section.
- Double-Click on Communications and select Dial-Up
Networking.
- Select OK.
- Select OK again. The System will prompt you for your
Windows Disk or just start copying the needed files if the disk
is already in place.
- Select OK.
- On the System Settings Change dialog box select
No.
TCP/IP Networking Installation (If not installed during initial Windows Setup).
- On Control Panel double-click on Network.
- Select the Add button.
- Double-click on the Protocol component.
- Under Manufacturers select Microsoft.
- Under Network Protocols double-click on TCP/IP.
- Select OK.
Creating LMi.net Dial-Up Icon
- On Start -> Programs -> Accessories
select Dial-Up Networking.
- On Connections double-click on Make New
Connection.
- On Type a name for the computer you are dialing enter:
LMi.net.
- On Select a modem enter your modem type and select
Next when done.
- On Area code and Telephone number enter the
appropriate LMi.net dial-up telephone
number. For Country code select United States of
America (1). Select Next when done.
- Select Finish. A LMi.net icon is added to the program
group.
Connecting to the Internet
- Double-click on the LMi.net icon.
- On User name enter: your login name. On Password
enter: your Password. Select Save password if desired.
- Select Connect. As soon as the connection is
established, minimize the Connected to LMi.net window and
start using your Internet client applications. That's it!
